Medicine at Monash
Monash University provides two options for people interested in pursuing a career as a doctor.
Through our Direct Entry program, we offer around 65 places for international students, and a further 15 places in our Graduate Entry program, giving international students more opportunities to study at one of Australia’s most respected and prestigious medical schools.
As part of the admission requirements, applicants will be invited to attend a Multiple Mini Interview (MMI). MMI’s will be held in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences will determine those applicants who are to be offered an interview. Invitation to interview will be based on overall performance in the ISAT for the Direct Entry program or their average mark (AM) or weighted average mark (WAM) for Graduate Entry.
Applicants applying for the Graduate Entry program will also be required to complete a Situational Judgement Test (SJT). This is a computerised test that presents the test-taker realistic, hypothetical scenarios and asks them to identify the most appropriate response or to rank the responses in order they feel is most effective.
It is vital that applicants are aware of the interview dates and make themselves available during these times. Only those applicants who attend an interview will remain eligible for a place in the MD program. For all relevant 2017 application requirement deadlines,
