The University is pleased to announce we have established one of the largest scholarship schemes in the UK to support applicants and sponsors. The scheme is worth over £2.5 million in total.
Salford International Fees Scholarships - Under Graduate, Post Graduate
- The scheme is open to international students and sponsors paying overseas fees from all countries, and for the first time to undergraduates AND postgraduates. The scheme is not available to students who pay home or EU fees or for PhD/ MPhil students.
- If a student is sponsored by their government, the scholarship is awarded to the sponsor as a reduction in the fees due.
- The scholarship awarded is determined by the fee band the student pays – the revised fees for 2010 entry are attached which shows the scholarship amount for each course
- The University reserves the right to close the scheme once the money has been allocated to students who have paid their deposits. PLEASE ENCOURAGE EARLY APPLICANTS FOR MERITOUS STUDENTS to ensure they do not miss out on the top awards
HERIOT WATT UNIVERSITY
Heriot-Watt is a vibrant, forward looking University offering a high quality learning experience and a welcoming and friendly environment, with an international reputation for innovative education, enterprise and leading edge but practical research. Heriot Watt is often referred as Scotland's International University. One out of their four campuses is located at Dubai. Heriot-Watt offers partial scholarships for up to 50 high-caliber overseas students on selected taught Masters courses under their International Scholarships Programme
New programmes such as Climate Change programme are amongst the identified courses. Scholarship applications can only be made once an offer to study on the course has been issued and awards are made on a competitive basis.
UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA
The University of East Anglia is an internationally renowned university based in a campus that provides top quality academic, social and cultural facilities to over 13,000 students. UEA is ranked amongst the top three for student satisfaction according to the first National Student Survey and in the top 20 in the UK by the Sunday Times.
All international students will be considered for a scholarship between 10 and 50 per cent of tuition fees. Students should indicate on the application for admission that they wish to be considered for a UEA scholarship.Early application is very important. Scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of academic merit and are normally for the duration of the period of study - three years for Bachelor and PhD degrees and one year for Masters programmes. They are available from all Schools of Study and across most courses of study.
UNIVERSITY OF EAST LONDON
The University of East London is an exciting, diverse learning community. International/Admissions Office of the University of East London offers Scholarships to all full-time international students with honours degrees. The scholarship awarded is valued at £ 1000 - £ 2000, based on the grade in the undergraduate study
UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX
The University has seventeen academic departments spanning the arts and humanities, law, science and engineering and the social sciences. The University of Essex has a thriving international community with 130 countries represented amongst the student body. There are three types of scholarship awards which are awarded for each year of study subject to satisfactory progress. £ 10,000 for research students and £2,000-£5,000 for Master's students. In some cases, departments may also offer additional top-up teaching or research scholarships, which provide opportunities to gain teaching or additional research experience. You should complete the University of Essex Scholarship application form either at the same time as submitting your application to study or subsequently.
The Guardian named Glamorgan University as the best new university in Wales for the third year running, and Glamorgan was also nominated for University of the Year 2007 by the influential Times Higher Education. There are 12 teaching areas and with its first class teaching, applied research, excellent facilities and outstanding academic support, Glamorgan University is a popular destination among students. The University of Glamorgan has scholarship of £ 1,500 per year for Undergraduate courses, £ 2,000 for Postgraduate degree courses and £ 1,500 for MBA. A separated application need not be made and the confirmation of scholarship will be included in the offer letter.
Many students choose Northumbria because of its reputation as one of Britain's best modern universities. The wonderful location, excellent facilities and the great social life makes the time at Northumbria an enjoyable and memorable one. Northumbria University offers scholarship in the range £ 500-1000 to every International student. Applicants for all levels of full-time study at Northumbria's Newcastle campuses will be considered. Selection is based primarily on academic achievement and other factors such as level of English proficiency and any professional or non-academic achievements. Scholarships are not awarded automatically.
UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST OF SCOTLAND
University of the West of Scotland is famous for its wide range of academic, social and sporting facilities Courses in business, computing, engineering and science, media, language and music, health, nursing and midwifery, social sciences and education. The University of the West of Scotland offers a wide range of international scholarships to overseas students. Student will qualify for an award of £ 1,500 on receipt of a completed application with associated documentation. The admissions officers will assess the application and will notified the student if successful.
GLASGOW CALEDONIAN UNIVERSITY
Glasgow Caledonian University is one of the largest universities in Scotland, offering a wide range of learning, research and knowledge transfer opportunities on a national and international basis. Glasgow Caledonian University is proud to have students from over ninety countries studying and enriching the community.No separate application is needed to apply for scholarships at Glasgow Caledonian University. Both the undergraduate and the postgraduate level of study carry scholarships ranging from £500 to £ 1000. Overseas students who pay their tuition fees in full before the start of their programme are eligible for a 8% discount.
